Indian traditions weave around
nature. Every element of nature is appreciated and is integrated into
paintings. Indian traditions propagate respect for everything on the Earth,
worship birds and animals, trees etc. The Peacock is the national bird of India
and is also the vehicle of an Indian diety called Murugan or Karthikeyan, son
of Lord Shiva, the Destroyer of the Universe. India has plenty of peacocks and
rainy seasons bring them in grandeur. Here, 2 pretty peacocks are seen perched
on branches surrounded by flowers with feathers in the shape of a fish on their
body.
