Indian traditions weave around
nature. Every element of nature is appreciated and is integrated into
paintings. Indian traditions propagate respect for everything on the Earth,
worship birds and animals, trees etc. The Peacock is the national bird of India
and is also the vehicle of an Indian deity called Murugan or Karthikeyan, son
of Lord Shiva, the Destroyer of the Universe. India has plenty of peacocks and
rainy seasons bring them in grandeur. Here, 2 sets of pretty peacocks are seen
perched on branches with majestic crests on their heads surrounded by intricate
and delicate fine lines. Their tails are seen with intricately designed
feathers. The tree, branches, leaves and flowers fill the entire piece.
