with precious emerald/ jade set in gold on her hair and head. The piece on her
forehead is called a maang tika or a sarpech, while the ear piece is called
martels that is tailed off as a jhumka (a bell shaped earring). Each gem is
worn for its special properties and it has a significance impact on the human
body. The long gold necklace is typical Indian. The jewellery, borders etc are
